My response to Congressman Moran's 3/31/25 Town Hall

My short response to Nathaniel Moran's 3/31/25, Town Hall last night.

While agreeing with this method, Moran provided an example comparing President Trump's handling of the government to cleaning out a garage. One must remove everything and then put back only what needs to stay inside.

As we know, "discernment" and "care" are lacking in the Republicans' strategy to fix the government. Anyone who views this wrecking ball method as a way to handle not numbers but people's social security numbers and other private data- dismantling our money, health care, and safety nonchalantly is reckless and lacks heart.

I know that I am not as polished as Moran, nor do I have the worldly advantages that he possesses. I will not be your typical candidate because I take my role as a disciple of Christ seriously. Therefore, where I am weak, He is strong, and in Him is where my help comes from. I will seek wise counsel to assist me in government while doing all I can to help thy neighbor.

Moran proved that he lacks discernment and wisdom, which are greater than mere knowledge. Being delivered from my afflictions and enduring numerous times of trying to prove myself, only to be rejected by the privileged, is why I possess the empathy, discernment, perseverance, and care to tackle the needs of East Texans. I understand your perspective, often referred to as a struggle.

Below is my 2025 Family Contract. If I were to grade myself, I would say I still struggle with numbers 5 and 7. Number 6 relates to 5 and 7. I share this with you not to reveal my shortcomings but to emphasize that one cannot compartmentalize who they are and who they are intentionally trying to become each day. Moran states that he is a Christian, but I am and will act as a Christian, for the best interest of all whom I will serve. One must continue to work on oneself, to love and serve others properly. I hope our 2025 Family Contract is a blessing to your household.
