Let's go back to the Old-Time way, knowing what we know today!

Neighbors,
I have a adult child with special needs.
We used to travel and make memories, but today she cannot handle the stress of long airport lines.
These delays are not by accident.
They are the result of decisions.
The refusal to properly fund TSA staffing has created unnecessary strain, and over time, critical infrastructure has been weakened.
When systems fail, families like mine feel it first.
So what do we do?
Grow our own food
Use landline phones
Barter and build community
Work near home
Simplify how we move
Cut distractions like social media and gambling
Let’s go back to the old-time ways where wisdom resides.
Just as the New Testament refers back to the Old Testament,
we are reminded that the foundation has always been there.
We don’t have to fear change,
but we must be wise enough to return to what works.
With love,
Masika Akilah Ray
