CONGRESS x2 and ME — Hints from God

Some of you know that I am a Christian author, currently working on the third of seven books in my Physical and Spiritual Series. Over the years, the Lord has given me many hints—ordered steps—that I now see clearly leading to this very moment.

1. My father, Larry Hargraves, received a Civil Rights Award presented by Rev. Jesse Jackson and President Lyndon B. Johnson.

2. My many battles against discrimination, for equal rights, and against government corruption have shaped my understanding of the times we live in.

3. My fight that reached the U.S. Supreme Court proved that I would stand to the very end for what is right.

4. For years, friends, family, and even strangers have come to me for help—whether to find assistance for an elderly parent or to navigate unjust treatment in criminal and civil matters.

5. I founded My Children Are Not Your Toys, LLC, to help families victimized by CPS, born of my personal experience of injustice detailed in I Am Summoned to Testify.

6. And now, I see how the U.S. Congress and the Bible Youth Congress are connected—physically and spiritually—in ways I never imagined until November 1st.

   
   

It was at Denton Baptist Church in Mt. Vernon, TX, when I was about nine years old, that I was selected by my cousin and friends to be the reporter for Bible Youth Congress. I didn’t want to do it at first; I wanted to play piano in the talent show! But my grandmother, Mama Jessie, made sure I participated.

Everyone had to write a report, but I was chosen because of my love for writing (and because my friends were too shy). Even as a child, I took assignments seriously. That experience taught me how to observe, discern, and report truth in a way that brought people along with me—as if they were there.

Interestingly, my very first book, Boisseau’s Emet Truth (Emet means “Truth” in Hebrew), centered on a fictitious mystery that occurred at the Bible Youth Congress—a sign I didn’t recognize until now.

Today, I can truly say, the Lord orders my steps. I have surrendered my will to Him. Now that my children are older, and I have more support, I know it is time to serve on a larger scale. Last year, I prayed for God to enlarge my territory, and He has done just that.

Too often, we run from the calling on our lives because of pride or fear of sacrifice. But I have learned that serving is my calling, giving is my gift, and loving others as myself is my way of life.

Now, I am ready to lead with discernment, fight like heaven, and make positive, lasting change not only by representing you but also by helping you get organized, equipped, and prepared for what is to come.
